SADNESS TO HAPPINESS IN 24 HOURS

Yesterday and the day before we ventured into a tiny village in the mountains of Ronda. We can't name the village because its inhabitants have all been declared criminals a few weeks ago: they engage in a highly illegal activity, which is growing and consuming organic, natural food that they've been growing and consuming for centuries... The trouble is that this gloriously home-grown and loved produce is not certified by the government. It's difficult to believe that this is happening in the traditional heart of the Mediterranean.... Watch this space, we'll soon post a video episode of this very sad story.
Today I've been walking from Sotogrande to Estepona and stumbled across happiness in many different and unexpected forms, like finding a boardwalk by the beach that stretched for nearly 20 kilometres, dotted by little "chiringuitos" that served chilled beer; or stopping for lunch in an authentic Moroccan restaurant nestled in a tiny little port... happiness is simple now.
DÍA 4 - DE LA TRISTEZA A LA FELICIDAD EN 24 HORAS
Ayer y anteayer nos aventuramos en una pequeña aldea en las montañas de Ronda. No podemos nombrar a la aldea porque sus habitantes han sido declarados culpables de delito hace unas semanas: están todos involucrados en una actividad altamente ilegal, que es el producir y consumir comida natural, orgánica, como han estado produciendo y consumiendo durante siglos... El problema es que estos deliciosos productos cosechados y elaborados con amor no están certificados por el gobierno. Es difícil creer que esto esté pasando en el corazón de las tradiciones del Mediterráneo.... Estad atentos a esta pagina, pronto publicaremos un vídeo de esta triste historia.
Hoy he caminando desde Sotogrande hasta Estepona, tropezándome con muchas inesperadas y muy diferentes formas de felicidad, como encontrar un paseo marítimo, junto a la playa, que se extiende por casi 20 kilómetros, salpicado por pequeños chiringuitos que servían cerveza muy fría, o parar para comer en un auténtico restaurante marroquí acurrucado en un puerto chiquito... la felicidad es algo simple ahora.
